Are you heading to Bangkok on holiday?  You may be wondering about how to get to and from local transport systems, as well as how to reach the hotel you’ve booked.  The Centre Point Hotel Chidlom is based close to the centre of the city, meaning that it is closely linked to a variety of public transport stations.  It is also straightforward to get to from Bangkok’s airports via these stations!

Reaching the Centre Point Hotel in Chidlom by Public Transit

Once you’ve landed at either Suvarnabhumi or Don Muang Airport, there will be several options available to you.  You can choose to take taxis, vans, on demand Grab cars, buses or connect to the BTS, ending up at Chidlom.  But where on earth do you start?

Let’s break things down for you by airport.

Travelling from Suvarnabhumi?

If you’re heading out to us from Suvarnabhumi, make sure to look for the airport rail link service at the airport itself, on the lower most floor.  That will give you the option to travel across Bangkok to Phaya Thai, and from there, transfer to the skytrain system, and Chidlom BTS is 3 stops away on the Sukhumvit line. Once you arrive, you’ll only be 600m from our front door.

You can use our shuttle bus service to pick you up.  This runs every day from the Mercury Building from 7 am to 9 pm.  The only days where this schedule will differ are weekends and public holidays, where services will run from 10 am to 8 pm.

Travelling from Don Muang?

Don Muang is a little closer to Chidlom, but there is no Rail link with this airport.  However, once you connect to the BTS at Mo Chit, take the BTS all the way to Chidlom, again on the Sukhumvit Green line.

Again, do take advantage of our shuttle bus service!  If you have lots of bags to carry, it will be a good idea to take it to the hotel, even if it is a short distance away.  Don’t forget that you can take the same shuttle bus service on the way back, too.  It’s super convenient!

Taking the Roads

If you want to avoid heading to the Centre Point Hotel in Chidlom by rail, you can, of course, take to the roads.  Suvannabhumi Airport is approximately 14 miles, or 23km, from the hotel, while Don Muang is 13 miles, or 21km away.

Taxis will generally charge around 700 BHT from either airport to the hotel.  What's great about the tolls on the expressways here is that they get covered in the price of your travel. 

Getting here by private van from the airports will cost around 1490 BHT, while a sedan car will likely cost in the region of 1090 BHT.  It makes sense to budget carefully before you depart.

Finding Your Way
