Based in Sukhumvit 19, Mikki is a hugely popular brand. Tourists and locals flock here for unique and delectable treats! It’s really easy to get to, and if you stay at the Centre Point Hotel in Sukhumvit Soi 10, you can walk there in 5 – 10 minutes.
What is Paris Mikki?
Paris Mikki is a bakery brand which has two main locations in Bangkok. The one we’re considering today is in Sukhumvit Soi 19. However, there is also a sister location in Central Embassy, which is just as popular (and worth heading to if you stay in our Chidlom hotel)!
World desserts deeply inspire this bakery brand. The head chef, Carol Boosaba, has plenty of experience in working with leading pastry-makers. When you visit Mikki, you’ll find that pastries are at the heart of their fantastic menu, which is clearly inspired by many European continental and culinary delights. Mikki’s presentation of dishes makes it stand out in spectacular fashion. They are almost like works of art! The French influence here is very clear, even right down to the name of the bakery!
Sampling the Menu
It may not seem obvious that Bangkok has loads of dessert options throughout the city. It’s likely many people will come here for traditional Thai cuisine. But what Paris Mikki offers is a Thai take on international dessert standards! The interior of the café and bakery is expansive and delicate. Everything is lovingly put on display and wonderfully lit. Precise attention has been made to creating a stylish, opulent patisserie. Once again, the continental influences are obvious!
But what about Mikki’s menu? If you’re a chocolate aficionado, be sure to try a thick slab of Philip 70. It’s a lovely, textured chocolate and hazelnut cake.
Prefer something a little more traditional – at least in terms of European tastes? Then you may wish to try Mikki’s take on the classic croissant. The croissants at the bakery have even won awards! What’s more, the lovely, flaky mille feuille always proves to be a popular choice.
