While Bangkok may be a big, bustling city, thanks to public transit, everything is well-connected. You can hop on the city-wide skytrain and underground train to get most places. Our serviced apartments are accessible via the skytain station Thong Lo, only a few minutes away. In this short guide, we’ll take a look at everything you need to know when planning your travel in Bangkok.
Travelling By Public Transit?
Getting to Centre Point Serviced Apartments Thong Lo by public transport is easy, if you make use of the popular BTS system. This is the main train network which runs across the city, connecting communities. After a recent expansion, it’s never been easier to find your way around the many sights and sounds of Bangkok.
Whether you’re heading to us from Suvarnabhumi or Don Muang airport, you’ll find an airport link railway that’s easy to board and navigate through. What’s more, public transit charges usually are very affordable here.
Getting to us From Suvarnabhumi
Suvarnabhumi Airport is around 11-12 miles from our hotel in Thong Lo, meaning that your journey here shouldn’t be too arduous! Simply take the airport rail link from Suvarnabhumi out to Phaya Thai, where you will be able to connect to the Sukhumvit line and travel to Thong Lo via the BTS.
The Thong Lo BTS stop is around a kilometre from our hotel, which means it may be worthwhile you taking one of our shuttle buses to the door. You can board the shuttle at the BTS stop itself and go direct to the accomodation.
Getting to us From Don Muang
The easiest way to travel to Thong Lor is via the BTS, however the closest station is Mo Chit, which is a few miles away from the airport, so you can aither take the A1 bus or a taxi there. Mochit’s BTS stop will then connect you to Thong Lo station on the green Sukhumvit Line. At this stop you will find our shuttle service.
About the Shuttle Service
It is worth bearing in mind that the ThongLo shuttle service regularly runs from 7 am to 8 pm each day. Therefore, providing you are at the BTS stop at anywhere between these times, you will always have a way to get back. This shuttle service is also excellent if you want to head out and explore more of Bangkok via the BTS.
Getting to the Centre Point Hotel in ThongLo By Car
If you’d prefer to take the roads and expressways instead, you can. As mentioned, it is quicker if you travel from Suvarnabhumi, though this will depend on the tickets you may have already booked.
If you’d like to take a taxi from either of the airports out towards Centre Point, you shouldn’t expect to pay more than 600 BHT for the privilege. Expressway tolls, however, will vary. Travelling from Suvarnabhumi, you may need to pay around 50 BHT for passage, while this charge will be around 100 BHT from Don Muang.
Want to take a van to the hotel? Be prepared to pay around 1650 BHT for the journey. Private sedan car hire, too, will incur fees, and you should expect to pay about 1200 BHT.
