What is Children’s Day? As the name suggests, it’s an opportunity for the nation and it’s families to celebrate and provide events for their younger people. Normally it lies in January on a single day, but events regularly take place throughout the weekend, where the aim is growth and fun for kids of all ages. It’s also an excellent opportunity for adults to reflect on their children’s potential.
ICONSIAM
ICONSIAM is a fantastic mixed-use development which you’ll find on the Thonburi side of the Chao Phraya river. With a theme of "FAMILY FUN FAIR", kids will be able to meet Bumblebee from the Transformers, My Little Pony characters, Mr Monopoly and more. There will be an amusement park, rock-climbing, Let’s Create with Play-Doh, Jenga, Twister and special gifts.
Children’s Day is a time to reflect on what’s required for our kids to grow up healthy and happy, so shoppers at ICONSIAM will receive special discounts and vouchers for children’s items throughout the store at the weekend.
Children’s Day in the City
If you’re looking for other exciting ways to spend Thai Children’s Day with your family, Silom is a great place to start. One of the biggest attractions in the area is Lumpini Park, for example. It’s a great wide open space for kids to let loose and have some fun.
If you want to give your kids more of an education while visiting Silom, check out the Bangkok Snake Farm near Chamchuri Square! Snakes don’t have to be scary! In fact, this facility backs onto a hospital, where snake venom is analysed and used.
The Snake Farm plays host to scores of different snake species. It might be an excellent way for you to get up close with the animals and to try and conquer those fears!
